The mission for Sovereign Farm is to produce top quality racing stock that has commercial appeal. Our unique approach combines quality horsemanship with value based care.
Managing Partner
Kelli Cross is a central Kentucky native who grew up with horses and has devoted her life to raising quality stock. Her experience on commercial farms allows for her to meld big farm experience and talent to Sovereigns boutique size and atmosphere. This gives clients a chance to build commercial portfolios while taking advantage of our personalized service and hands on approach. Along with the massive amount of reproduction experience, Kelli also has a proven track record of producing profitable yearlings, and outstanding racehorses. She feels the cornerstone in a quality yearling program is great horsemanship. Nutrition and quality blacksmith work are also paramount at Sovereign Farm. Kelli holds a Bachelors of Science in Equine Production from the University of Kentucky, and is a very active volunteer in Lexington, Kentucky as well as in the Equine community.
Client Relations and Racing Manager
Kenny Cross, also a central Kentucky native, grew up with horses and began starting Thoroughbreds, to go to the track, as a young teenager. From there Kenny's interest in the Thoroughbred industry ballooned into much more. Kenny handles new business, acquisitions and Sovereign Farm's Breaking and Training Program.
The Facility
Sovereign Farm's main division is located in Paris, Kentucky. We offer large stalls, various sizes of paddocks and pastures to fit each horses needs, round pens, exercise arenas, and eurocisers as well as access to swimming pools. With access to these amenities we are able to provide the opportunity for each animal to reach its peak condition for sales, racing and breeding.
